Twitter FarkIt Type Size A A A The discovery Thursday night of a man who fatally shot himself in the head led to him being exceptionally cleared as the shooter in the homicide of his ex-girlfriend that morning, according to Shreveport police.




About 5 a.m., Rodney L. Terrell, 29, fired at least three shots through Sherika Pratt's front door about 5 a.m., killing her but leaving her two children, ages 1 and 3, unharmed, police said. Neighbors reportedly heard the gunshots and then loud screaming.
"Oh, no — my baby, my baby," Beverly Pratt said as she watched her daughter being put into the coroner's van at the Coventry Apartments, located in the 4500 block of North Market Street. "Lord, please help me, please. They killed my child. Why did they kill her?"
Beverly Pratt immediately believed Terrell, who is the father of her youngest grandchild, was responsible.
Hours after the shooting, Terrell was named as the key suspect and that evening, as police searched for him on a charge of second-degree murder, a citizen reported finding a man slumped over in the driver's seat of a blue Cadillac parked outside the Plantation Inn in the 4900 block of Greenwood Road.
Police determined it was Terrell and are calling his death a suicide. Crime scene investigators matched the shoes he was wearing to shoe prints discovered at the crime scene at the Coventry Place Apartments, according to a Police Department news release.
Just two weeks prior, Terrell broke into the apartment and waited for Sherika Pratt to return home, Beverly Pratt said.
"He broke in through the back window, and when she came home, he beat her and cut up her furniture and the kids' mattresses. She had stitches and bruises from that. Police should have got him then."
Jim Taliaferro, police spokesman, said Terrell was the subject of "several previous reports of battery on the victim" and that he had two active warrants through the Police Department that involve Sherika Pratt.
"Sherika was one of the kindest, sweetest people you ever want to meet," Albert Gober said of his daughter. "She was getting her life together. She worked hard, took care of her kids and visited her parents. She seemed to be on the right track."
Now, her two children, one of whom has no living parent, are staying with their grandparents.
Sherika Pratt is Shreveport's 11th homicide victim this year.

My heart is so heavy once again.One of my very best friends has lost her youngest daughter to a cruel act of violence.This monster also took his on life today.My heart goes out to her and the whole family of both kids.Not only did he damage our life.But he damage his on family too.I'am so tired of things like this happen around the world.Just last week one of my daughter's friends lost two of her cousins.They were to first cousins who got burned up after they were killed by the mother's boyfriend.He sat the mother's car on fire also a week before the murders.They were both in high school in Baytown Texas apart of Houston.they were buried today.We have had so many case of family killing family and kids getting killed by the parents is ashame.America we need to be in constant prayer for this world.for those of use who belive in it.America it is not only on the news or in other people homes anymore.It is in our own home and backyard now.And for me it' is scary as hell.America please pray for my friend for the lost of her daughter.Thank You & God Bless.

My First Blog Award

'CANCER SCARE'

Hello Angie,Bridgette & Kay,I' wanna thank you all for stop by and being a friend when I' really need one lol. I'm trying to kill all these birds with one stone haha.Well last time I' posted I' been I' got sick for a while again omg.Well I'm finally getting a lot better.But during my illness the doctor found a mass in my neck on the right side.They well shock and scratching their heads because they wasn't looking for it.And they say I' wouldn't have felt it or neither would they in a normal check up.And the craziest thing is my neck don't even hurt on that side or never did.And they still cant find out why the left side gave me so much pain.they said it was a good thing I' had pain and they ordered a CAT SCAN or it wouldn't have been found.I' called it the GRACE OF GOD!!!!.I' have ween down on the meds lately thank GOD.I' will go for a MRI next month and a biopsy.I' was in tears when they first told me they found something.Then it was like they were washed away and haven't returned.I' feel okay for now and have put it in the Lord hands.Thanks for the prays they do work in numbers.God Bless you and your family Mrs.Diva smooches.

Hello friends,sorry I' have'nt been only in a long while.I' have been sooooo very sick lately.I' have a abcess on my gum which have several tooth hurting at one time O.M.G the dam pain.My blood pressure have been in the stroke level for a while.And the abcess got infected in my blood stream I' belive.I' have a gland in my neck that is swollen from the abcess.So you know scrappin' was the last thing on my mind lol.I' miss chatting with you all so very much.So as soon as I' get a little strong I'll be back to see what you all been up too.Thank YOU all who have been stoping by.God is blessing me right now.And with his mercy and loving arms I' will be well soon.My he keep blessing you all too MrsDiva2u....smooches..

Hello all I' am working on some new layout's today to show real soon.I' feel better than I' did the other day thank GOD. To day is Antonio's funeral may he RIP.I' been chattin' with his mom off and on.I' hate I' couldn't make it.But they are in my prayers.I' hope you will pray for them too.Okay on to a much lighter note.I' had to pull tooth and nail today.To keep from goin' to the stores with this 40% off coupons lol.It is so hard to keep from shoppin' when you have one or see a clearance sign lol.I' think scrappin' is one of the most expensive hobby around.Everyday they are comin' out with new stuff.And it's so hard not to try & buy haha.Myself I' dont really need anymore stuff till I' use some of what I' already have.I'm sure there are some of you in my shoes too.It seem like I' have brought in to the rave fad so much now.That I' haven't use 70% of my stuff.So now I' dont care what the rave is I' will still use it.For people who dont scrap alot it's the best I' think.I' like to go back and use old stuff to make my layouts diffrent.Let me know what old products you like to use.check out my videos on Youtube.

Hello all today is a very sad day for me.I' got some bad news last night that one of my good friend son was killed omg.I' took the news very hard,especially knowing he was in another city when it happen.All I' could think of is who would do this.But by the grace of God he wasn't murdered.He was killed along with his girl friend in a single car crash in Las Vegas.They were killed on the Summerlin Parkway,if any of you know that area.It was a little relief but not much.but know someone didn't play God was a little easier to swallow.We have lost so many friends and family to unseen tragedies.I' don't think I' know someone who have had a family member murdered.It so bad I' have even know someone to be kidnap & murdered at the age of 16.My family have even been a victim of this cruel world on many occasions.In 2004 my youngest son was ran over an left for dead.He died on the scene by was given a second chance by God amen.I' know this has nothing to do with scrappin'.But i' would like to tell you all.Please tell your love one how much you love them.And try to mend any broken bones if you can.I' know that may be hard to do.But one day you may wish you had,and it will be too late!!!Call some one you have'nt told ever. Or in a while and let them know YOU LOVE THEM. GOODNITTE Mrs.Diva2u

Today I'm feelin' really bitchy I'm so SICK AND TIRED. Of fake so called friends backstabbing,foes and crazy family members.I' deiced today I'm not dealing with this anymore from nobody.I' am too blessed to be stressed okay.When you done all you can to get along with people.I' mean bend ova backward to help someone.And they don't respect you are acknowledge you feelings or lie on you,act like your invisible till they want something.Well it's time to call it quits.I' mean what more can you do? Especially when you done nothing wrong.I' guess maybe I' wear my heart on my sleeves to much I' dont know.But being the person I'am that's how I' love ,help & befriend people.Or should i' say how I' live my life.And I' WOULD HATE TO LIVE IT ANY OTHER WAY.

Hello friends I uploaded my first video on here yesterday yeah!!I' know you don't think it's a big deal lol.But to me it is haha,I'm not real good with the COMPUTER.So for me it's a great big deal okay haha..I' don't know if it's me or my computer but it's hard doing videos.IT seem to take forever heck maybe it's me.I' hate to wait too long for anything.I'm gonna try and do another on in a few so wish me luck.I' have to get better with this!!! How This Diva Chill At Home...

Hey Girls this is how this Diva relax when I'm chillin' at home.This is a Pina Colada and belive me it was good lol.I' have to have a super size one like the whole dang pitcher haha.Sometimes life just put you in that mode.But please dont get it twisted I'm not a big drinker okay.It' dont have that much liquor in it.I'm a chicken when it comes to gettin' drunk.I' did it once at a early age and wont ever do it again.Okay let me tell you my story about tha drink.I' made this one on my birthday New Year's Eve.So I' deciced to do another on on New Year night.I' had my mouth all set to get my drink on right.I' mean it was even smellin' good lol.I' go to pick up the pitcher to pour my drink.And the whole dam bottom fell out the pitcher O.M.G !!!! I' MAD as heck to say the least.But all was not lost on my counter and floor.I' just dump the blender in the trash.And made me another drink called Pink Panties okay!!! 'Good Morning World'

Good morning world,how you doing!!!! Like Wendy Williams say lol.Today is such a blessed day for us all.We woke up today by the grace of GOD!!!.And as of now were still breathing AMEN!!!.I' know though out the day there may be changes we have no control of.But we put God first there is nothing we cannot tackle in or life.May GOD be with each and everyone of you as your day start or end.Let me tell you about the weekend I' had.I' had such a lovely time with some of my family.We ate hot dogs,tuna fish sandwiches ect & chicken strips and fries over the weekend.We also had ice cream and cookies among other junk food too.Yeah I' know I' know it wasn't one of our healthiest menus but hey we only live once okay lol.We don't normally eat like that,but sometime you have to live a little and let your hair down.Now I' have to watch what I' eat till 'THANKSGIVING' which is in 3 days wow.This year is going by soooo fast omg.The babies are growing up so fast,we have to make everyday count.It will soon be time to have some new members lol.I' hope my youngest son settle down soon.I'm praying for him to get a nice!!! girl not like the ones he had before haha.We I' guess you can tell by now I' didn't like the others(NO!!! Boy how times files,this is my stinker Piglet ,when she was real small.She barley had teeth lol.Well we have come a long way since the okay.MsThang is soooo grown now it's a shame.She has a mouth full of teeth now,and is 2yrs old,going on 22.I' love the way she was smile when I' took this pic of her.She love to make funny faces when she was a small baby.Now she keeps a mean mug on her face haha.This is another digi kit,the flowers in it are so pretty the card is ahhh so cute with the bow.
